Uniglobe Travel USA LLC, with a partner, is pleased to announce the acquisition

of Uniglobe Way To Go Travel and Uniglobe South Coast Travel, both located

in Orange County, California. These acquisitions represent the first direct-to-client

agency acquisition for the company which has traditionally been involved

in agency franchising.
Both agencies primarily support corporate clientele in the Orange County market,

with an emphasis on clients with total travel spend of $100,000 to $1 million.

The client lists include companies in high tech, engineering, financial services and restaurant chains.

“This acquisition fulfills our previously stated intention to own an agency and have direct

corporate clients. We understand that a top concern of our franchisees is a path to a seamless

exit strategy. We’re pleased to be able to provide the two owners with a hassle-free transitio

n to retirement and know that their future financial interests will be well protected as clients

receive uninterrupted service levels within the Uniglobe organization”, says U. Gary Charlwood,

Founder, Chairman and CEO of Uniglobe Travel International.

“We believe that this is a great time to enter into agency ownership as the travel market

has tremendous upside and we are eager to build a share of it.”

In making the acquisition, Uniglobe Travel USA has partnered with Marie Magliano,

the owner of one of its leading franchises. As both Uniglobe Travel USA and Magliano

are shareholders in the Uniglobe Travel Partners (UTP) organization, the new joint venture

will operate under the UTP brand name.
The partnership will provide direct operational management while the staff will be co-located

in Uniglobe Travel USA’s offices in Irvine, CA. “We will realize significant cost savings

and efficiencies by bringing these two agencies together in one location.

That we are able to gain these benefits and have staff continue to work in the same

local market makes the transition painless for both staff and clients”, says Magliano,

who takes on the role of President of the new operation.

US Government travel legislation will require

all passengers entering the US to provide the following data prior to check-in

or at check-in for their flights.
Passport number
Country which issued passport
Passport expiry date
Given names (as they appear on passport)
Last name
Gender
Date of birth
Citizenship

All non-US citizens will also be required to provide a full destination address including zip

(Post) code or cruise ship and port of embarkation. Transit passengers must give

onwards flight details of their travel links..
Failure to this may result in check-in being denied. For most passengers,

the destination address is where they will be staying on arrival in the US

for the duration of their stay, or on their first night if they have a tailor made

holiday with onward travel links.

This information must be collected from every passenger travelling to the USA before their flight departs.
The airlines involved are working to permit this facility as part of their website online check-in procedures

which can now normally be performed 24 hours prior to departure. Ask your personal travel coordinator or -

DISNEY World Know How

Waiting on line for popular rides can literally take hours. Posted signs usually state

how long the wait is.

Some theme parks have systems like Disney's Fast Pass and Universal Express, which issue

timed tickets for popular rides, allowing you to arrive at a certain time and wait just

15 or 20 minutes instead of hours.

Some parks charge extra for timed tickets; Some don't.

When you have a choice between more than one line for a ride or concession stand,

take the one on the left

Another technique for avoiding long lines:

Get to the gate before the park opens, have your route plotted,

be among the first in the door and make a beeline for that famous coaster before the crowds arrive.

Ride lines may also be shorter during daily parades.
And in the strange-but-true category: "When you have a choice between more than one line

for a ride or concession stand, take the one on the left; most people instinctively move to the right.
Arrive early or leave late: Many parks experience a lull after the daytime crowds leave and

before the teenagers arrive. Coasters with hour long waits at 11 a.m. may have no lines at tea time

Admission fees after 4 p.m. are often half-price, too and many parks stay open late into

the night in summer.

Save it for a rainy day: Fodor's "1,001 Smart Travel Tips"

recommends visiting theme parks after it rains.

"You'll find you'll have the place to yourself," the book says. Some rides will close intermittently,

especially if there is thunder and lightning, but indoor attractions will be unaffected.

Pack a hand towel to wipe off wet seats; wear a plastic rain cape.

(Some parks distribute free plastic parkas in bad weather; others sell them.)

On the other hand, amusement parks as a rule do not make refunds, so if the rides are

closed for hours, you lose out. Ask your personal travel coordinator about a

season's pass, this makes the risk affordable.

For water parks, come prepared. Visiting water parks is an art unto itself.

Leather and cloth wallets are easily lost and ruined in water parks, so a small watertight-

plastic pouch, suspended from a string around your neck, hidden from open view, is useful.

Here you will store your car key, cash and credit card.

It's amazing how often guests drag bags full of items into waterparks, only to store them

the entire day in an expensive locker.

To avoid that: Wear your bathing suit and light flip-flops. As soon as you're off the

hot concrete and onto the cooler surfaces most waterparks have underfoot,

store your footwear, sunscreen and towel in an old bag you can leave unattended,

along with everyone else's-outside each ride or pool.

Don't let weak swimmers in the wave pools;

standing your ground in the force of the waves is fun but exhausting & they can

take in too much water...
You will get wet in seaworld!

Safety and security: For peace of mind, put an ID card in every kid's pocket;

write down exactly where you parked; and arrange a time and place to rendezvous

so your group can split up to try different attractions.

Finally, observe all safety regulations. Rules about age, height and weight determine who

can ride safely and health warnings screen out people who might be hurt on certain rides.

Obviously obeying these rules is in your self-interest.
