TRAVEL COORDINATORS DESCRIPTION OF A TRAVEL CO-ORDINATOR
Travel Coordinator JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: Under general direction, is responsible to oversee all travel related activities to ensure accordance with University policies and procedures; supervises and/or performs all duties of the office to account for all travel related expenditures. CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Trains, supervises, and evaluates support staff; ensures receipt and deposit of funds returned by travelers; ensures timely reimbursement; verifies vendor payments to approved travel agencies prior to processing. and concerns; maintains stock of preprinted travel forms; maintains open and cleared travel documents in accordance with document retention policies. documentation in compliance with University policy; ensures accuracy of vouchers in accounting for traveler advances or prepaid expenses; prepares journal entries and/or deposit of funds form to clear expense report.
prepares correspondence regardingto travel related issues for the supervisor's review and approval. monitors travel expense report due dates in accordance with University policies/procedures; performs follow-up procedures to ensures timely receipt by the office; initiates payroll withholding of past/due advances after proper notification. Performs other duties as assigned.
