TRAVEL LINKS TO CRETE

Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and birthplace of El Greco.

Crete possesses a landscape so diverse and enchanting that

no description is likely to do it justice.

From its beautiful golden beaches, crystal clear waters, rugged snow capped mountains and

breathtaking scenery, this island is just waiting to be explored.

Crete holds an abundance of fascinating history being also the birthplace of Zeus, father of all

Greek gods and the Minoan Empire where the legend of the Minotaur has its origins.

CRETE offers visitors cities with layers of at least 4,000 years of continuous inhabitation, including the vibrant

heritage of centuries of Orthodox Christianity and the distinctive imprint left by almost 700 years of

Venetian and Turkish rule. This Greek island has the power to give you everything from a Greek holiday.
Wherever you decide to visit, you will find the people both warm and friendly and you'll certainly be

spoilt for choice. Whether your preference is beautiful beaches, picturesque scenery, ancient history or

lively nightlife, Crete has it all, the choice is yours. Nightlife in the busiest resorts still bursts with

enjoyment but the emphasis is now more for respect of land and its people.
