Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki
Museum
Located 60 miles west of Ft. Lauderdale on the Seminole Big Cypress Reservation,
1-863-902-1113.
The history and culture of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is on display.
Rare artifacts, militaria,
Seminole Living Village, boardwalk nature trails, dramatic history film, interactive computers,
educational tours and
Native American gift shop.
Open 9am to 5pm, Tue.-Sun.. Closed Mondays. $6 adults, $4 seniors and
children.

Gold Coast Railroad Museum
12450 SW 152nd Street, Miami, 305-253-0063 (next to Miami MetroZoo and
on the site of a former Naval Air Station).
Exhibits include the Ferdinand Magellan, the private railroad car built
for President Franklin Roosevelt; locomotive 153,
the engine that pulled the rescue train out of Marathon, Florida after
the 1935 hurricane; and the 113 (built in 1913).
Open Mon.-Fri., 11am-3pm; Sat. and Sun., 11am-4pm. Adults $5; children
under 11 are $3 (under 3, free).
Train rides (Sat. & Sun. only), 1pm & 3pm, $2 additional. Every
second weekend of the month, the large trains run

Holocaust Memorial 1933 Meridian Avenue, Miami Beach, 305-538-1663.
Sculptor Kenneth Treister's conception of the six million Jewish lives
lost in the Holocaust.
This poignant, soul-stirring monument features a photographic mural of
the death camps and a Memorial Wall
with the victims names.

IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum

The museum makes
science fun.
Don't miss the wildlife center with live animals, reptiles and an aviary.
The planetarium features laser shows,

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
3251 South Miami Avenue, Miami (just south of the Rickenbacker Causeway

Built in 1916, this majestic Italian Renaissance-style villa and formal
gardens was the winter residence of
Chicago industrialist James Deering. Situated on sparkling Biscayne Bay, the 34-room house contains
antique
furnishings and decorative arts from the 15th to 19th centuries. The grounds encompass over 10 acres of
formal
gardens and fountains.
Guided tours available in several languages.

Washington Avenue, and Ocean Drive, you'll find designer and one-of-a-kind

Lincoln Road, the pedestrian-only
mall runs east-west from
Collins Avenue to Alton Road, Miami Beach. No vehicles can drive east-west
