famous for its summer opera performances Verona also has preserved castles, a fascinating medieval city centre,
which is now pedestrianised and comes alive in summer with open air markets and of course "Juliet's balcony" –
made famous by William Shakespeare's "star-cross'd lovers", Romeo and Juliet.
