Situated on the south-west coast of Corfu, on 5km of golden sand, St George is untouched by the

commercialism of the larger resorts and ranks as one of the few quieter spots on the island.

There is a good selection of tavernas and shops plus a couple of music bars to enjoy in the evenings.

Heading north out of Corfu town, the first place you come to is Alykes a coastal suburb 5 kilometers away.

Alykes belongs to Ionian islands and is the second most populated in Greece.

Alykes is less developed than the other resorts and has a lovely sandy beach with shallow and clean waters.

The bays of Alykes is also the place to be. It is very close to Pontikonisi (Mouse island), Kanoni, Liston,

Potamos. There is a regular public bus service to take tourists to the centre of Corfu Town.
